WHO WE ARE

The National Commission for Black Arts & Entertainment (NCBAE) is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to convening, connecting, and celebrating Black people across the arts and entertainment industries. Founded in 2020, NCBAE bridges the gap between genres—building a thriving creative ecosystem that provides opportunities, platforms, and networks of support for artists, organizations, and cultural innovators from Cincinnati to South Africa, Eswatini, and beyond. We believe art is more than expression—it is a powerful tool for community transformation. Through our programs, events, and partnerships, NCBAE uses art as a positive force to make lasting impact in the communities and lives we serve. Together, we are shaping a future where Black creativity thrives, is honored, and drives meaningful change.
